REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - The General Elections Commission (KPU) on Tuesday had completed the recapitulation of votes for the 2014 presidential election, with presidential candidate Joko Widodo securing 70.997.833 votes, while his competitor Prabowo Subianto receiving 62.576.444 votes.
"The recapitulation process has been finished. The winner of the 2014 presidential election will be announced today at 20.00 Western Indonesian Time (WIB)," said Chairman of the KPU Husni Kamil Manik on Tuesday at the KPU building in Central Jakarta.
According to Antara's observation, of the polling stations in 33 provinces and 130 overseas, the total number of voter turnout was 133,574,277 out of 190,307,134 eligible voters registered at the KPU.
