Jokowi-JK to help Constitutional Court relating to Prabowo-Hatta's lawsuit

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - The president-elect, Jokowi 'Jokowi' Widodo and vice president Jusuf Kalla are ready to help Constitutional Court on Wednesday. The pair will help General Election Commission (KPU) over the lawsuit filed by Prabowo Subianto and Hatta Rajasa.Prabowo and Hatta filed a lawsuit after they rejected to recognize the electoral resuts.

Kalla said that his team had prepared related data and evidences to support KPU's decision on July 22 as he would be the involved party in legal proceeding in the Court. He considered that all datas were valid from all level of districts, regents and provinces.

"We are ready and we will be involved in the Court," Kalla said on Tuesday.

On July 22, KPU named Jokowi as the next president with a total of 70,997,833 votes or 53.15 percent, while Prabowo gained only 62,576,444 votes or 46.85 percent. Prabowo previously claimed that fraud had occurred at 52,000 polling stations and had affected 21 million votes in its initial lawsuit filed at the court on July 25.
