President: I must guard the whole process of presidential election

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BOGOR - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono said that he must ensure to guard the presidential election process despite General Election Commission (KPU)'s announcement that Joko "Jokowi" Widodo and his pair Jusuf Kalla as the winner over Prabowo Subianto and his running mate, Hatta Rajasa. 

"It is my duty to ensure the election running completed, so that we can conduct the inauguration on October 20," he said at Cikeas, Bogor recently.

Earlier, Prabowo-Hatta filed their lawsuits over some allegedly irregularities in presidential election. The president expressed his hope that the legal process could be conducted August 6, 2014. 

According to Chairman of Constitutional Court, Hamdan Zoelva, the assessment is mostly on administrative issue instead of legal material. He also said that Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo and Jusuf Kalla would be summoned as witnesses.
