Prabowo: Indonesia rejects foreign dictation

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, MEDAN - Presidential candidate No. 1, Prabowo Subianto said that despite Indonesia's friendly approach to other countries, the country rejected being dictate by foreign country. 

"Indonesia welcomes relationship with all countries, but we reject being dictated," Prabowo said in his campaign in Medan recently.

He accused foreign companies had benefited from Indonesia's natural resources while Indonesians were only spectators. He emphasized that Indonesian natural resources must benefit their own people. 

Prabowo and his running mate Hatta Rajasa will contest in next presidential election on July 9, 2014. He will compete with Presidential candidate No. 2, Joko Widodo and his running mate Jusuf Kalla.
