REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA — Republika once again held Islamic Finance Dialogue (IFD) 2026 as part of Indonesia Sharia Forum 2026. With the theme “Halal Beyond Label: Building Trust, Integrity, and a Sustainable Lifestyle Ecosystem”, the forum is a discussion space for governments, industry players, regulators, and academics to discuss strengthening Indonesia's increasingly inclusive, reliable, and sustainable halal ecosystem.

Islamic Finance Dialogue is one of the main agendas towards the summit of Anugerah Shariah Republika 2026, the annual event of appreciation of the Republic to industry players and figures who contribute to the development of the national sharia economy. Through the Indonesia Sharia Forum, Republika hopes to foster the birth of ideas, collaborations, and innovations that strengthen Indonesia's position as one of the world's sharia economic centers.

The forum, which took place on Wednesday (1/7/2026) at Soehanna Hall, The Energy Building, SCBD, Jakarta, raised the issue that the concept of halal is now no longer defined as administrative compliance or the presence of a halal logo on a product. On a global level, halal has evolved into a lifestyle ecosystem that promotes integrity, transparency, good governance, and sustainability throughout the value chain, including the financial system that sustains it.

Therefore, the Islamic Finance Dialogue 2026 will discuss how universal halal values can be integrated with the strengthening of the sharia finance industry. The synergy between the halal sector and sharia finance is considered to be an important foundation in building an economic ecosystem that not only grows in business terms, but also is able to bring trust, sustainability, and prosperity to the community.

“This theme invites us all to see halal as an essential value that goes beyond just formal certification. Halal should be the foundation of integrity, trust, and sustainability in Indonesia's sharia economic ecosystem,” said Director of Republika, Rangga Danu.

The keynote session will be attended by the Expert Staff of the Minister for Digital Transformation and Tourism Innovation at the Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Indonesia, Masruroh, and the Deputy for Entrepreneurship of the Ministry of MSME RI, Riza Damanik.
