PAN optimistic to build coalition with PDIP

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - The National Mandate Party (PAN) is optimistic to build coalition with Indonesia Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) in 2014. PAN claimed that the party had similar vision and mission with PDIP.

"We are optimistic to build a coalition with PDIP. Both are nationalist and open parties," Chairman of Board of Commission in PAN, Bara Hasibuan said on Monday.

Despite intensive political communication between PAN and PDIP, but Hasibuan said that both parties had not drawn final decision yet. Hasibuan said that the option to pair Joko Widodo (popularly known as Jokowi) with the chairman of PAN is still on the table. 

While PDIP secretary general, Tjahyo Kumolo confirmed that his party had political communication with Rajasa related the coalition issue. But Kumolo said, no decision had been made on PDIP's coalition partner because the party still awaited the result of legislative election on April 9, 2014.
