REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto stated that the Indonesian State Police Corps (Polri) must remain resilient and should not be undermined by any party.
This was stated while leading directly the commemoration ceremony of the 79th Anniversary of Bhayangkara which took place at the National Monument (Monas), Jakarta, on Tuesday (1/7/2025).
“I hope that today's police force will be really tough, strong, don't want to be undermined by anyone,” he said.
The message was conveyed by the Head of State because Indonesia is a rich nation, so it is natural that it often faces various interference from outside parties.
President Prabowo also reminded that as the vanguard of security, the police will always be subjected to attempts at weakening and destruction, both physically and morally.
“They will try to weaken your spirit of devotion. Don't want to be undermined by anyone! Our nation is rich, and that's why we're always bullied. But Indonesia must not be oppressed, it must not be a weak nation,” he said.
Therefore, he called on the entire police force to maintain integrity and a spirit of devotion.
“Our nation is on the verge of revival. We must manage and safeguard the wealth of our nation and the police force is the cutting edge in safeguarding the wealth of the nation and our people and the brothers of the police will always be targets,” he said.
