REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - A policeman, identified as Sukardi, died after being shot by unidentified person at Rasuna Said street, Jakarta, near the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) building on Tuesday night, police confirmed.
"Yes (police death) is right," head of detective and criminal unit of the Setiabudi police office, commissioner Riftajudin said, explaining that the incident occurred at about 11.20 am western Indonesia time (WIB).
It was informed that Sukardi was suffered three gun shots at his chest and belly, Riftajudin said, adding that Sukardi who was riding his motorbike at the time immediately collapsed. Sukardi was escorting a truck around the scene when he was shot to death.
