REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Indonesia's ruling party, Democratic Party proposes three presidential candidates to attend the convention. They are Chairman of the House of Representatives Marzuki Alie, Minister of Trade Gita Wirjawan, and Chairman of the Regional Representatives Irman Gusman.

"Until now, we have not yet confirmed the brother in law of Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, Pramono Edhie Wibowo, to join the presidential convention," Chief of Central Executive Board at Democratic Party, Sutan Bhatoegana said on Tuesday.

Vice Chairman of the Democratic Party Nurhayati Ali Assegaf rejected the idea that Democratic Party would make external presidential candidate as their puppet. Instead, Democratic Party asked public to participate actively in the convention.

"The convention involves people to participate actively. So, don't worry, we trust the community's control systems," Assegaf said.
