REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, AM Fachir, said that Indonesia has a tremendous influence in handling of terrorism. In this regard, Ministry of Foreign Affairs would continue to improve dialogue and global tolerance in against international terrorism.
"Indonesia is ready to commit to be part of global efforts in against terrorism and extremism," he said in Committee VI hearing at the UN General Assembly, Wednesday (13/10).
Keep in mind, during the General Assembly, the issue of strengthening of militant groups, the threat of radicalism and extremism became the main topic of this week's meeting of world leaders.
Currently, a strong threat from radical and extremist groups, and also terrorists, have become the main agenda of the annual session of the UN. President of the United States, Barack Obama, said that with more than 100 countries invited, he discussed the threat of ISIS, also international terrorist threats and violent of leftist groups.
