Six foreigners reported missing off Sangalaki Island

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, SAMARINDA -- Six foreigners were reported missing in the sea off the island of Sangalaki,Berau District, East Kalimantan since Saturday night.

Head of the East Kalimantan Disaster Agency Wahyu Widhi Heranata said the six foreigners included five Italians and a Belgian citizens missing since at 19.10 local time on Saturday.

Wahyu gave no details about the foreigners whether they were tourists or foreign residents, and how the had been missing.

"Until now we were are still searching for them," he said on Sunday.
