REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) said both presidential and vice presidential candidates Prabowo-Hatta and Jokowi-JK pairs programs were realistic and could be implemented to advance Indonesias economy.

"The two presidential and vice presidential pairs programs are all realistic. Therefore, Kadin, as a partner of the government, has the commitment to supporting whoever is elected president," Kadin's Deputy Chairman Rahmat Gobel told a press conference on Tuesday.

Gobel said that the two candidates had great programs for the development of Indonesia, and Kadin was convinced that whoever was elected would carry out his programs.

The Probowo-Hatta duo's programs include a commitment to stop the budget leakage which so far estimated at 1,000 trillion IDR. In the meantime, the Jokowi-JK duo has the program to improve the quality of Indonesian human resources.

Gobel said that human resources was an important point because the success of the country's economic development depended on the quality of its human resources. He said that leakage of the budget also concerned human resources quality and the system.

Gobel said that one of Prabowo's programs was to seal the leakage of state budget which was estimated at 1,000 trillion IDR. Prabowo also has a program to revitalize denuded lands into bio-ethanol rice fields and develop geothermal power plants with a combined capacity of 10,000 MW in the coming five months.

Jokowi in the meantime, he said, would focus on social insurance programs offering an Indonesia Healthy Card and Indonesia Smart Card scheme, as an expansion of a program he had implemented as the Jakarta governor.

Currently, there are two presidential and vice presidential candidate pairs, Joko Widodo-Jusuf Kalla and the Prabowo-Hatta Rajasa, who will contest in the July 9 presidential election. The Prabowo-Hatta duo is supported by the Greater Indonesia Movement (Gerindra), the Golkar Party, the National Mandate Party, the Prosperous Justice Party, the United Development Party (PPP), and the Crescent and Star Party (PBB) with 292 seats or 52.14 percent in the parliament.
