Jokowi does not bother about the tapping case

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Governor of Jakarta Joko Widodo (known as Jokowi) admitted the he did not bother about the tapping that took place in his official house at Taman Suropati Street, Central Jakarta. He asked the media not to ask questions about the issue because he did not perceive such incident as a threat.

"I am not concerned about the incident because we do not speak over important matters in the house. I don't want to magnify the issue," stated Jokowi in Jakarta Town hall on Friday.

Earlier, three sets of tapping equipment have been found in Jokowis house, in the living room, dining room and his bedroom. "I don't assume such incident as a threat. We do not discuss any confidential matters. We only talk of daily issues such as food, satay, and fish curry," he elaborated.

The Governor added that he would not blame anybody from his political rivals. He added that the incident did not disturb his privacy.
