SBY sends his condolences to the victims of earthquake

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono sent messages on Twitter, following the strong earthquake hit Iranian and Pakistani border on Wednesday. He wished speedy recovery for the people who were injured in the disaster.

"We pray for the people of Iran and Pakistan. Our thoughts are with the families of the earthquake victims. SBY," he wrote on 11.00 am on Wednesday. As reported, an earthquake measuring 7.5 on the Richter Scale hit Iran's Zahedan city on Tuesday.

The earthquake occured at 15.14 hours local time in Sistan and Balouchestan province in southeast of the country, Including in the capital Islamabad and largest city, Karachi. The epicenter of the quake was located 81 kilometers away from the town of Saravan. At least 38 people were killed and a thousand homes destroyed.
