MER-C collects more funds for Indonesian hospital in Gaza

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - An Indonesian Non-governmental Organization, Medical Emergency Rescue Committe (MER-C), announced that they successfully gathered 25 million IDR for the building of Indonesia Hospital (RSI) in Gaza Strip, Palestine. They need at least 5 million IDR more to finish the building.

MER-C on Sunday is sending 27 volunteers-consist of doctor, engineer, and technical expert-to Kairo, Egypt. They have been trained mentally and physically to face heavy task in Gaza. Most of them will stay for a long time in Gaza.

Once they arrive in Gaza, the volunteers are scheduled to meet government's officials and several organizations that have been supporting them. "MER-C team will explain the second stage of the building of RSI. The hospital is a form of Indonesian friendship with Palestinian," the leader of volunteers, Joserizal Jurnalis, said.
