REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati entered the PDIP network list to be nominated for governor (cagub) of Jakarta. The figure of Sri Mulyani adds to the list of big names who have a chance to advance in Jakarta's 2024 gubernatorial election.

According to Gilbert, the row of names was only just circulating among PDIP's internal circles. Although it has entered the networking stage, he said, the name is still not officially proposed to the DPP PDIP.

Gilbert said that the PDIP will again conduct a selection against all the names that have already appeared. After that, the names of those elected will be sent to the DPP PDIP. “Yes. All will be clear after the Rakernas, but published or not, that's another thing,” Gilbert said.

Earlier, DPD Secretary PDIP DKI Jakarta Pantas Nainggolan said that his party had started to carry out the process of networking several names that could potentially be transferred to the Jakarta cagub. However, the name netted temporarily comes from PDIP internals.

“We (have) a lot of potential,” Pantas said in the Puncak area, Bogor district, West Java, on Thursday last week.

He mentioned that the figures who have the potential to be promoted to become Jakarta's Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini, Jakarta Parliament Speaker Prasetyo Edi Marsudi, Minister of State Apparatus and Bureaucratic Reform of Indonesia Abdullah Azwar Anas, to Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono, including former army chief Andika Perkasa.
