REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, DENPASAR - Indonesian National Army (TNI) is ready to beef up the security on the commemoration of Bali bombing I on 12 October centered at Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK) in Jimbaran.

"Australia and the organizer of the event have come to us and police. We will handle the security," Major General of TNI, Wisnu Bawa Tenaya, said on Tuesday. Police and Army will monitor the situation from CCTV and also guard certain points.

He urges people to be aware of their environment and report suspicious things to the police. TNI has asked the management of hotel, inn, and dormitory to report suspicious people. Other parties, such as State Intelligence Agency (BIN), police, and government officials, will be also actively involved.

The commemoration of Bali bombing I was usually held in Legian Street. For the first time it is held in GWK, Jimbaran.
