REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BOGOR - The black box of the Sukhoi Superjet 100 that crashed at Mount Salak in Bogor, West Java, recently, has been found. Members of joint team from the army's special force and the Indonesia Rock Climbing Federation discovered the black box at the site of the crash at around 10 am on Tuesday.

"After checking it the National Committee for Transportation Safety (KNKT) confirmed that the aircraft item carried by the Kopassus team is the black box," the chief of the 061st Suryakencana Military Command, Col. AM Putranto, said. 

Black box is a common name for an instrument consists of two main parts. They are Cokcpit Voice Recorder which records every conversation inside the cockpit, and Flight Data Recorder to record the performance of hundreds instruments that control the aero plane.
