Govt compensates 50 million IDR for each Sukhoi victim

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – Government would compensate 50 million IDR for the victims of Sukhoi Superjet 100 crash, the Coordinating Minister of People’s Welfare, Agung Laksono, said. “The compensation is on the basis of humanity. The compensation will be provided by Jasa Raharja insurance,” he said on Tuesday. 

According to regulation, the insurance is only for regular flight. Yet, he said the government made an exception for this joy flight. The compensation will be given immediately after the identification process is completed. In addition, Sukhoi will also compensate in the amount of 50,000 USD for each of the victims’ families.
