Din: MIUMI as an umbrella organization

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – The Deputy Secretary General of Indonesias Council of Ulama (MUI) Din Syamsudin praises Indonesian Council of Youth Ulama and Intellectual (MIUMI). Din who also General Chairman of Muhammadiyah, expects the organization will help MUI to promote Islam as a religion of love, peace, and fairness.  

“MIUMI should become a big umbrella for Muslims from various groups, interests, and thoughts,” he said in his speech at MIUMI declaration.

Din also appreciates the reasons behind the founding of MIUMI, which reflect their concern on the latest situation faced by the nation. He believes, public will easily accept MIUMI if the organization gives priority to the national unity.
