Youths asked to avoid narcotics

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, LUBUK CONE -- Regent of Agam, West Sumatra, Indra Catri appealed to youth generation to stay away from narcotics and dangerous drugs.

"Do not be easily influenced seduction to consume these drugs, because once you try it will make addiction," he said in Lubuk cone, Wednesday (18/5).

He also asked young generation asked to do sport and joined in youth organizations in order to not get involved in drugs. Then, the schools asked to always be proactive in the fight against drugs so that their students are not involved in narcotics.

"Doing counseling with call the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) and the police in the school by involved all of the students," he said.

Indra added, drugs abuse only have negative impacts, such as health problems, work productivity is lower drastically and create criminal acts. That’s why, he hope the police officers continued to suppress drugs trafficking.

Meanwhile, police of Agam, Police Grand Commissioner Adjutant (AKBP) Budhi Eko Purnomo said, they reveal 11 cases of drugs abuse and the suspects 13 people during January to May 2016. While in 2015 as many as 23 cases, 11 cases in 2014, and 2013 as many as 10 cases.

"It's part of our seriousness in fight of drugs trafficking. But we need the help of the communities to inform any residents consumed the drugs," he said.
