REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, DEPOK -- Depok Agriculture and Fisheries department (Distankan), has conducted socialization and selection of animal sacrifice (qurban). Socialization is given to the Mosque Prosperity Board (DKM) and committee of qurban in Depok, West Java.
"This is routine activity and done every year to ensure the welfare of the people if do qurban. The socialization is also carried out in order to raise public awareness in qurban," Head of Depok Distankan Etty Suryahati, said, Thursday (4/8).
According to Etty, socialization and guidance about sacrificial requirements, how to assess the sacrificial healthy animals, and procedures for the slaughter of sacrificial animals.
"They will be guided by doctors who are experts because we cooperate with the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Bogor Agricultural Institute (IPB)," she explained.
Not only that, socialization also given to explain about procedures of wrapping meat of sacrificial animals.
"Like not be wrapped in black plastic bags because it will be contaminated with harmful substances," Etty said.
