REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – Indonesian police data shows that there are 453 cases of illegal arms related in 2009-2011. The latest five cases occurred in Aceh.

“In the last three years, there were 142 cases of robbery with violence, devided into 76 cases under investigations and 61 solved cases. The total number of illegal arms cases related is 453 cases,” police’s chief of public relation Saud Umar Nasution said, during the press briefing on Friday.  

Umar detailed, during 2009 there are 171 arms related cases including terrorism. The number of similar cases in the following year is decreasing to 143 cases and then 139 cases in 2011. 

“In one case, a threatening manner followed by arms abuse has done by a celebrity,” Nasution said.
