REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Attorney General HM Prasetyo said here on Friday that the process of HTI dissolution process reaches final stage: Attorney General of Islamic organization Hizbut Tahrir Indonesia has already reached the finalization stage.
"We have also been involved in the discussions," he said.
Later, he said, there would be options to choose. "Which of the option is considered the right one is now still being finalized," he said.
Former Constitutional Court Chief Justice Mahfud MD has said the government has to prepare its arguments for its demand for HTI dissolution.
"Well they just prepared the arguments," he said when asked about support from one thousand lawyers for HTI.
He said, "If the government loses, it is just a matter of technical procedures as the substance has been very clear. Technical procedures may be repeated. The court's decision will be only to accept or reject."
"Will not accept and it is unaccepted or not approved are different. If it is not accepted it means the case may be filed again by completing the administrative requirements," he said.
