REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, SITUBONDO -- The Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan) nationwide has finally increased the subsidized fertilizer allocation in the 2024 budget year, including additional quotas for Situbondo Regency, East Java.
The head of the Department of Agriculture and Food Security (Dispertangan) of Situbondo District Dadang Aries Bintoro in Situbondo on Friday (26/4/2024), said the Decree (SK) of the Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Amran Sulaiman regarding the addition of fertilizer subsidy allocation has been received to each province.
“Thank God after our working visit to the Ministry of Agriculture on Wednesday (24/4/2024) we got an explanation from the Coordinator of Fertilizer Subsidies of the Ministry of Agriculture that the decree on adding the allocation of subsidized fertilizers has been dropped,” he said.
Until now, Dadang continued, the District Government (Pemkab) Situbondo is still waiting for the Decree of the Governor of East Java for the distribution or allocation of fertilizer subsidies to each district/city in the province.
He mentioned the national additional allocation of urea subsidy fertilizer of about 9.5 million tons, while specifically East Java was about 980 thousand tons, while the additional allocation of NPK type subsidized fertilizers was 832 thousand tons.
“For additional rations of fertilizer allocation subsidies until now, we still do not know how much, because it is still waiting for the Governor of Jatim's decree. In the governor's decree, it will be known how many tons will be obtained later,” Dadang said.
According to him, previously the Situbondo Cabinet proposed 33,221 tons of urea fertilizer subsidies through the electronic Definitive Plan Needs Group (e-RDKK), but when it (early in the year) was realized 17,552 tons or 53 percent of the amount of the proposed subsidy fertilizer allocation.
As for the previously subsidized NPK fertilizer, 70 percent of the amount of the proposed NPK fertilizer allocation amounted to 40,266 tons or the subsidized NPK fertilizer that Situbondo will receive about 30 percent, namely 11,830 tons.
“We hope that later after the Governor's Decree comes down, Situbondo can obtain additional allocation of urea and NPK subsidies fertilizer according to our proposal,” he said.
