REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA –- Indonesian Police Chief, General Badrodin Haiti, said that there was still no decision regarding the dismissal of Commissioner General Budi Waseso from his position as Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim) chief.

"Not yet until now, there has been no decision," he said, Thursday (3/9).

Badrodin continued, this time the police were discussing ranks and high position council (Wanjakti). He also did not know for sure whether Commissioner General Budi Waseso will be removed.

"If there is a mutation, that is a common thing in police. I also can be transferred at any time, so it is no problem,” he explained.

Previously, Commissioner General Budi Waseso was invited by President Joko Widodo to the Palace on Tuesday night. During the meeting, the President allegedly wanted to convey the three-star general's dismissal from his position as Chief of Bareskrim.

Budi Waseso dismissal was reportedly because he has hampered Indonesia economic recovery. This was because the cases handled by the Criminal Investigation Police make investors fear.
