REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (BRIS) unveils plans for cash dividend distribution and corporate action in the form of sukuk issuance this year. Plt BSI President Director, Bob Tyasika Ananta, said that the distribution of the cash dividend for the financial year 2024 will be decided at the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGM) held on May 16, 2025.
“Next, later [dividend distribution] at the AGM. But at the very least, not smaller than last year,” Bob said when he met at BSI Headquarters, The Tower, on Tuesday (15/4/2025).
For the record, BSI last year distributed a cash dividend for the fiscal year 2023 of Rp 855.56 billion or Rp 18.55 per share. The amount is equivalent to 15 percent of the company's net income.
In addition to discussing dividends, Bob also revealed BSI's corporate action plan this year, which is to re-issue sukuk as a continuation of the sustainability sukuk issued last year.
“Well it's a series, last year it's nerbitin, this year nerbitin, next year nerbitin,” Bob said.
He said the value of sukuk issuance this year is expected to be in the range of Rp 3 trillion to Rp 4 trillion, depending on market conditions. “Look at the market, yeah. Then we can by plan between Rp 3 to Rp 4 trillion,” Bob said.
In the past year, BSI has issued Sustainability Sukuk worth Rp 3 trillion. The sukuk is divided into three series with yields ranging from 6.40—7.20 percent for 1, 2, and 3-year tenors. The initial offering period of sukuk runs from 14 to 30 May 2024.
