REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Spokesman of national campaign team (TKN) for incumbent President Joko Widodo (Jokowi)-Ma’ruf Amin, Ace Hasan Syadzily said the proposal to dissolve coalition that supported presidential candidate was not necessary. According to him, coalition is needed to guard government in order to reach the campaign targets.

“This coalition has an obligation to ensure the campaign promises of Jokowi-Ma’ruf can be realized through its support in parliament,” said Ace on Monday (June 10).

Ace who is also Golkar Party Central Executive Board (DPP) chairman compared it with former president Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) government. He said at that time, the coalition that supported SBY and his running mate Budiono was not dissolved.

According to Ace, there was no problem if people see differently. He stressed all the matters depend on the political elites. He believed people have considered many things finished, as there was a result of presidential election.

“People have accepted whoever wins from 2019 presidential election. Those who are not ready are the elites who provoke not to accept the result,” Ace explained.

Earlier, Democratic Party deputy secretary general, Rachland Nashidik proposed for the dissolution of the coalition that supported Prabowo-Sandiaga Uno pair considered 2019 election has ended.

“Sir Prabowo, the election is over. Lawsuit to Constitutional Court is a claim by presidential candidate pair, not involve the role of party. I suggest you to immediately dissolve the coalition in the next official meeting,” said Rachland through Twitter.
