REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – The former Head of National Banking Restructuring Agency (BPPN) Syafrudin Arsyad Tumenggung has submitted a pre-trial report against Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). But, the suspect of BLBI corruption case surprisingly decided to cancel his report. 

“Based on the letter received by the Court, the rapporteur has revoked his report, is it right?" asked the judge Rusdianto in the court room of South Jakarta District Court on Monday (May 15). 

"Right, the Majesty,” said the lawyer of Syafruddin, Muhammad Ridwan. 

"Are you sure you want to cancel it off? " asked the judge.

"Yes, the Majesty," said Ridwan.

The judge said to have read the files of pre-trial submission by Syafruddin. It was made in South Jakarta District Court on May 5 with No. 49/pidana.praperadilan/2017 South Jakarta District Court. 

But, lately the court received a cancellation on May 8. The letter basically asked Rusdianto to cancel all the pre-trial files. 

The judge read the letter of file cancelation submitted by Syafruddin’s lawyer. It stated that the letter was cancelled as it would be revised. 

"Pre-trial cancelation today is aimed at revising it as an evidence. after being revised, we will resubmit the pre-trial report again,” said Rusdianto. 

"By the consideration, the file number 49/pidana.praperadilan/2017/PN Jaksel was stated to be cancelled,” said him. 

Rusdianto said the cancelation had legal consideration. “So the case is dismissed and there is no any other examination,” said Rusdianto.
