REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, MAGELANG -- South Korea's Finance and Taxation minister Lim Hwensu has visited the Borobudur Temple on Friday morning. He admired the largest Buddhist temple in the world.
Guided by a staff of Borobudur Conservation Center Mura Aristina, Lim climbed the temple. He felt so excited listening explanation from Borobudur Conservation Center staff about the history of Borobudur.
Lim impressed with Lalitavistara relief located in the hall I, which consists of 120 panels of relief Buddha's biography. In addition, Lim listened to the story of Gandawyuha reliefs at Borobudur.
Lim amazed by the Borobudur Temple. According to Lee, the arrangement of the reliefs of Borobudur highly sophisticated and impressive because it is customized with Buddha's life so it can be a knowledge.
Lim also argued that the sculpture artists would be surprised and amazed if they see the masterpiece of this temple. Lim said earlier he did not know much about Indonesia. This was his first time.
After this visit, he wanted to learn more and more about Indonesian history and culture. "Indonesians should be proud of the culture, especially with the magnificent Borobudur temple," he said.
On that occasion, the manager of Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur (TWCB) represented by Head of Operational Division of TWCB, Suhartanto gave souvenir book about the Borobudur. Suhartanto hoped minister visit will have great impact on the development of tourism in Indonesia.
