Bali culture park visitors reaches 4,000 travelers per month

Bali cultural park Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK) is one of main tourist attraction in Uluwatu.

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JIMBARAN -- Statue of Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK) Culture Park in the Badung regency, Bali, has been visited by 4,000 tourists per month. Those tourists came from domestic and abroad. "The number (of visitors) increase up to 50 percent on religious feast days and welcoming the new year," said GWK spokesman Giri Prayoga, Thursday.

He said foreign tourists and domestic travelers from various regions in Indonesia visited GWK statue increased by 10-15 percent. The management have made efforts and breakthrough, innovation, and promotion aimed to increase travelers to the tourist attraction.

The increased of visits in line with GWK used to local, national and international event. GWK also has adequate facilities, including Garuda Cinema for showing animation film. The film titled 'Petualangan Garuda Cilik' (Adventures of Young Eagle) won Citra Award in 2015 as best animation film.

In addition there are also Wisnu Plaza, Street Theatre, Lotus Pond, Amphitheatre, Exhibition Hall, Indraloka Garden, Kura-Kura Plaza, Jendela Bali Restaurant, The New Beranda Boutique Restaurant and Souvenir Shop. GWK statue now still under renovation. The statue will have a height of 75 meters with a wing as long as 64 meters. While the pedestal height of 60 meters and a total of 135 meters.
