Death toll of Indonesian pilgrims in Mina incident increases to 46 people

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, MECCA -- Victims from Indonesia who died in Mina incident has increased to 46 people. It consisted of 42 hajj pilgrims and four Indonesian citizens who lived in Saudi Arabia.

"The number of pilgrims died in our release earlier were 45 people. It now increased to 46 people. One victim has been identified, in the name of Dahlia Sulayman Hamdan from fleet BTH (Batam) 14 with a number passport A3689002," said Head of Work Area of Mecca, Arsyad Hidayat, in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, Tuesday (28/9).

He also revealed that the number of pilgrims who were hospitalized in Saudi Arabian Hospitals, was reduced to seven people after three people had returned to their lodgings. The three pilgrims were Zulaiaha Lutan Alam, Arninda Idris Usman, and Fadilah Abdul Karim Nurdin. The all three were from Batam embarkation 14 (BTH 14).

However, he said there was an additional number of pilgrims, who were reportedly not returned to their lodgings since the Mina incident, from 82 people to 90 people.

Those who have not returned were from:

1. Fleet 14 Batam embarkation (BTH 14): 11 people

2. Fleet 61 Jakarta-Bekasi embarkation (JKS 61): 46 people

3. Fleet 10 Makassar embarkation (UPG 10): five people

4. Fleet 62 Solo embarkation (SOC 62): six people

5. Fleet 48 Surabaya embarkation (SUB 48): 12 people

6. Fleet 28 Surabaya embarkation (SUB 28): four people

7. Fleet 5 Balikpapan embarkation (BPN 05): one person

8. Fleet 33 Jakarta-Pondok Gede embarkation (JKG 33): 1 person

9. Fleet 21 Jakarta-Bekasi embakarkasi (JKS21): 1 person

10. Fleet 9 Lombok embarkation (LOP 09): 1 person

11. Fleet 34 Surabaya embarkation (SUB 34): 1 person

"Data of increased number of pilgrims who were reportedly not returned to the lodgings, obtained after the completion of the new Sani Nafar. The chairmen of the fleet were reporting their member who were still missing," said Arsyad.
