REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, TERNATE -- Six more districts heads in North Maluku are required to undergo urinalysis testing similar to what was requested from the other officials in the eastern Indonesian province, stated Provincial Narcotic Board spokesman Rustam Lating.

"The six district heads who have yet to undergo a urine test are Muhammad Kasuba of South Halmahera district, Al Yasin Ali of Central Halmahera district, Rudi Erawan of East Halmahera district, Ahmad Hidayat Mus of Sula Islands district, Rusli Sibua of Morotai district, and Namto Hui Roba of West Halmahera district," Rustam remarked here on Wednesday.

He pointed out that North Maluku Governor Abdul Gani Kasuba, Ternate Mayor Burhan Abdurahman, Tidore Mayor Ahmad Mahifa, and North Halmahera district head Hein Namotemo have undergone a urine test to determine illicit drug use, but the test results turned out to be negative.

Rustam revealed that the six district heads have been scheduled to undergo a urine test at the earliest, which is similar to what Governor Abdul Gani Kasuba and the other officials underwent.

"Based on the instruction of the home affairs minister and the administrative and bureaucratic reform minister, the regional officials have to undergo a urine test as they are the extension of the central government," he noted.
