Batam becomes the center of Indonesian investment information

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BATAM -- Batam is appointed as the center of investment information in Indonesia. Investors attracted to put their money in Indonesia can visit Batam to ascertain the potential of all area in Indonesia.

The center is located in Sumatera Promotion Center Building. "Investors only have to visit the building to find out everything about investment in Indonesia," Director of Cakrawala Convex Indonesia Enos Justin said on Friday, November 28.

Batam is chosen as it is located near Singapore and Malaysia. It is also an investment gate in western Indonesia. Foreigners visiting Batam are usually looking for investment opportunity.

Convex charges 90 million IDR per year to local government that put investment information in the center. About 68 cities are already promoting its potential in Batam. "We do not promise them to get investors. Investment depends on local policy and also license," he said.
