REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- President Prabowo Subianto met with Danantara CEO and Minister of Investment and Downstreaming Rosan Roeslani at the Head of State’s private residence in Hambalang, Bogor, West Java, on Sunday afternoon (4/1/2026).
Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, as cited from the Cabinet Secretariat’s Instagram account on Sunday, said the meeting addressed several issues, including the progress of a downstreaming project being developed by Danantara with an investment value of Rp100 trillion.
“In the meeting, three main points were discussed. First, the development of five downstreaming project sites by Danantara, which are scheduled to break ground early next month,” Teddy said when confirmed by ANTARA.
He added that the downstreaming program will be implemented in several provinces across Indonesia, with total investment estimated at around 6 billion US dollars, or approximately Rp100 trillion, aimed at strengthening the national industrial structure.
In addition to downstreaming initiatives, Teddy said the meeting also covered plans for waste-to-energy projects focused on improving waste management, with the dual objective of reducing the volume of open waste and generating economic benefits.
“The development of Waste to Energy projects is intended not only to reduce the volume of open waste, but also to deliver significant economic benefits,” Teddy said.
