Four alleged foreign ISIS members taken to Jakarta

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, PALU - Four foreign citizens recently seized by police in Palu, Central Sulawesi, for allegedly being involved in the ISIS network were flown to capital city Jakarta on Sunday morning.

The foreigners known by their initials as AB, A, AB and AJ and some of them are Turkish citizens were tightly escorted by eight anti-terrorist squad Densus 88 members upon embarking the aircraft. They were arrested in the Parigi Moutong district while they were on their way to the Poso district on Saturday.

The four foreigners were accompanied by three local residents of Palu namely Saiful, Yudy and Irfan when they were arrested. The Indonesian citizens who have also been detained earlier accompanied the foreigners on their way from Makassar, the capital of South Sulawesi, to Poso.

The police have confiscated some evidence including AB's passport and a minibus. Now the police has also intensified street operations to assure security and stability in the region.
