REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta will inaugurate the Jakarta LRT Phase 1B (Velodrome-Manggarai) in Wednesday (26/8/2026). It is planned that the inauguration will be carried out by President Prabowo Subianto.

Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung said that his agency has not determined the increase in Jakarta's LRT fare after connecting to Manggarai. This means that the fare that applies after the inauguration will still be the same as before, i.e. Rp 5,000 for each trip.

“A lot of people are asking what about tariffs? So for a while until October, the fare is still using the current flat rate of Rp 5,000 per transport, flat,” he said at Manggarai LRT Station on Monday (24/8/2026).

In fact, Pramono revealed, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government will also impose special fares at the beginning of the new route's operation. However, he did not want to explain in detail the tariffs that will be imposed.

“It is possible that later we will give something as a gift, but we will decide later. But it is clear that for a while the flat Rp 5,000 was used,” he said.

Even so, it is most likely that Jakarta's LRT fares will undergo adjustments. Discussion on the new tariff will be held together with the DKI Jakarta Provincial Parliament.

“Hopefully in October it will be possible to decide what tariffs will be imposed on the Jakarta LRT as a whole that we will arrange together,” he said.

It is known that LRT Jakarta has currently been operating services at five stations, namely Kelapa Gading, Boulevard Utara Summarecon Mall, Boulevard Selatan, Pulomas, Equestrian, and Velodrome, with a track length of 5.8 kilometers. The tariff imposed is Rp 5,000.

With the completion of Phase 1B, the length of the Jakarta LRT track will increase to 12.2 kilometers. There are five stations crossed, namely Rawamangun, Pramuka, Kayu Manis, Matraman, and Manggarai.
