REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and visiting Prime Minister of Solomon Islands Gordon Darcy Lilo held a bilateral meeting at the Merdeka Palace on Tuesday. Since his election on November 16, 2011, it was Lilo's second visit to Indonesia after his first visit on August 12, 2013.
During the meeting, Yudhoyono was accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs Marty Natalegawa, Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs Djoko Suyanto, Minister/State Secretary Sudi Silalahi, Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Minister Sharif Cicip Sutardjo, and Cabinet Secretary Dipo Alam.
The meeting between Prime Minister Lilo and President Yudhoyono lasted for 50 minutes.
Indonesia and the Solomon Islands enjoy sound bilateral relations. The total volume of bilateral trade between the two countries reached 15.88 million USD in 2012, with a surplus of 9.1 million USD for Indonesia.
