REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - At least 115 out of 140 members of parliament (MP) from Democratic Party have formally supported Prabowo Subianto as the next president. 

"Of course we will support Prabowo in parliament," a legislative member from the ruling Democratic Party, Achsanul Qosasih said on Monday.

Qosasih said that Democratic Party's support reflected appreciation towards Subianto's vision and mission, which were in line with President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono's program. Yudhoyono is the party's patron leader. 

Qosasih said that Subianto showed high level of nationalism. The support, he said, was based on some logical reasons.
