REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Some ministers of Golkar party submitted their request to President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono to take temporary leave during the campaign. The request must be submitted to State's Secretary, Sudi Silalahil before the campaign begins next week.
Among the ministers is Coordinating Minister for People Welfare, Agung Laksono who asked President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono to permit him a temporary leave during three week campaign period.
"I reported it today that I must take the leave. But then it is up to Commission of Golkar Party to run the campaign schedule," Laksono said on Monday.
He decided to take the leave only on certain days like Friday, Saturday, and Sunday so the other days he could still work his state duty.
