Indonesia's Muslim fashion to go global

Many experts from Centre for Fashion Enterprise of London say that label Jenahara fits for Western European and American markets with a minimalist design style and use colorful monochromatic palettes.

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – Indonesia’s Muslim fashion has stolen attention attention at international level. Three Indonesian designers, namely Dian Pelangi, Jenahara and Nur Zahra will penetrate their market abroad.

"We have chosen three labels to go international as they have very strong signature," Creative Director of Jakarta Fashion Week, Diaz Parzada said on Friday.

Three designers are recommended via Indonesia Fashion Forward (IFF) in Jakarta Fashion Week. Their clothing are versatile and not only for Muslim women but also can be worn by anybody. 

With this strategy, Diaz said that three labels could be absorbed by consumers in various countries. They were also ready to compete with other categories of clothing. 

Many experts from Centre for Fashion Enterprise of London who become mentors in IFF program explain label of Dian Pelangi with a combination of bright colors are very appropriate to consumer tastes in Europe and Middle East. Label of Jenahara fits for Western European and American markets with a minimalist design style and use colorful monochromatic palettes. Label of Nur Zahra with organic material is suitable to consumers in Southern Europe and Japan.
