REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees at the Great Indonesia Movement Party (Gerindra), Hashim Djojohadikusomo, said that Chairman of Gerindra, Prabowo Subianto, and Governor of Jakarta Joko Widodo (populary known as Jokowi) were ideal partners for 2014 Presidential Election.
"It is very likely that Prabowo Subianto and Jokowi as ideal partners. Mr. Jokowi is my friend and I introduced him to Prabowo," Djojohadikusomo said on Sunday.
In various polls, electability level of Jokowi and Prabowo are high. After Jokowi, Prabowo's name always comes up. But, Djojohadikusomo warned that Jokowi in many times always said he would spend five years to lead Jakarta. He was elected as Governor of Jakarta and has committed to complete the task.
Therefore, Djojohadikusomo who also the younger brother of Prabowo confirmed the concentration of Gerinda now is to win legislative elections. A total of 22 thousand candidates at every level are prepared to win.
A poll that is conducted by Center for Political Research (P2P) shows electability Jokowi and Prabowo are consistently at the top level as a candidates for 2014 election. Jokowi is ranked first with 22.6 percent, while Prabowo 14.2 percent.
