Investment in Kalimantan reaches 741 trillion IDR

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, PONTIANAK - Economic corridor in Kalimantan records an investment of 741 trillion IDR. The investment value derives from oil and gas projects worth 237 trillion IDR. Next, coal project worth 211 trillion IDR and bauxite worth 106 trillion IDR.

"There are 233 economic activities in Kalimantan which 58 activities or 27 percent of them has value of investment commitment worth 281 trillion IDR,"  Chairman of the Working Team of Masterplan for Acceleration and Expansion of Indonesia's Economic Development (MP3EI) in Kalimantan, Suswono said on Tuesday.

Suswono, also Ministry of Agriculture argued one of the supporting pillars of activity was connectivity. Connectivity activity in Kalimantan consists of the construction of the airport worth four trillion IDR, harbor 13.6 trillion IDR, train 56.5 trillion IDR and road 33.6 trillion IDR. 

Next, construction of energy infrastructure worth 28 trillion IDR and other infrastructures worth 2.6 trillion IDR. Source of the connectivity project financing comes from the state budget, private or mix.
