REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - PT Coca Cola Amatil Indonesia (CCAI), an American multinational corporation and manufacturer, plans to invests 500 million USD in next three to four years in Indonesia. The fund will be allocated for infrastructure development, capacity building, and increased support for the provision of a diluent cooler.
President Director of CCAI Erich Rey elaborated that his company will invest worth 15 million USD to regional distribution center in Cibitung, Bekasi, West Java to bridge the manufacturing and logistics facilities in Java. "The distribution center was built on an area of 32 thousand square meters and could accommodate more than two million cartons of drinks production, like carbonated drinks, juices, teas, isotonic and mineral water," he said on Tuesday.
Those facilities are expected to further improve the logistics function of CCAI. CCAI also plans to build a regional distribution center in Medan, North Sumatra, worth 155 million USD. The company has also invested more than 20 million USD after acquired a manufacturing facility at Cikedoan, Bekasi.
This investation aimed to improve refrigerator cooling with low energy consumption. "With nine plants that exist today, we are committed to build a sustainable business and develop communities," Rey added.
