REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, PURWOKERTO - Thousands of raptor migrated to Indonesia this year are too late to return to their habitat in northern hemisphere. Thousands of raptor or birds of prey species usually starts to return to their habitat in March to April every year. But, until May 2013, those birds are still in Indonesia, especially in Jakarta and Bali.

"This global phenomenon make us worry that balance of the current climate is changing," Executive Officer of Raptor Indonesia, Asman Adi Purwanto said on Monday.

Raptor Indonesia is a group of environtmentalists with interest on migrant birds in Indonesia.

The seasons shift schedule  is very influential for migration of birds. Some European countries experience prolonged winter as they are still snowy in April.
