SBY receives two honorary doctorates during his ASEAN visit

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono received ‘Honorary Doctorate’ or ‘Doctor of Letters’ from Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS) and Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore today.

"I will receive a degree from Nanyang Technological University," Yudhoyono said in a press onference shortly before his visit to three ASEAN coutries.

NTU is one of 50 top leading universities in the world according to 2012 QS World University Rankings. 

The president will have bilateral meeting with Prime Minister of Singapore Lee Hsien Loong. Many business and financial communities in Singapore will also have direct dialogue with the President about business opportunities in Indonesia.

On April 23, President will head to Nay Pyi Daw, Myanmar, to meet his counterpart Thein Sein. On April 24, Yudhoyono will go to Brunei to attend the 22nd ASEAN Summit.
