JAKARTA -- The Chairperson of the PDI-P DPP, Megawati Soekarnoputri, invited politicians and party cadres to learn about life from the natural surroundings. According to Megawati, politicians who learn from nature will better understand their constituents.
"For example, from fireflies, frogs, and butterflies," said Megawati at the launch of the book 'Merawat Pertiwi, Jalan Megawati Soekarnoputri Melestarikan Alam' (Caring for Mother Nature, Megawati Soekarnoputri' Path Preserving Nature), which was centered at the party's head office on Jalan Diponegoro, Jakarta, Wednesday (24/3).
Megawati admitted that she had studied and had contact with the three animals. The three beasts were given a task by the Creator of Life.
"One, the fireflies, is the air filter. So the fireflies will not live if the air is not clean. Try it if you don't believe it," said Megawati.
The life cycle of a firefly, when the eggs enter the ground, they will emerge to the surface after about two years. This means that the fireflies must live in concern for two years hiding in the ground.
"And the task is only about 2 weeks for reproduction, so that nature can detect whether the weather is good or not. Those are fireflies," said Megawati in her press release.
The second is a frog. According to Megawati, based on her experience, frogs eat insects and mosquitoes. So without the need for insect poison, it is enough to raise frogs, certain dangerous insects such as mosquitoes will not interfere.
"No need to spray. The frogs are natural sprayers. Just keep a lot of frogs. The larvae will be eaten by frogs. When they start to become mosquitoes, they will be eaten by the frogs," said the fifth president of the Republic of Indonesia.
The third is butterflies, which come from caterpillars and cocoons. He will become a beautiful butterfly. Then it will work to suck pollen from flowers and honey and spread the eggs to provide food for other creatures.
"Everything is just animals. But the philosophy is very high. Because it is ruled by Allah SWT. We, given our thoughts, even become criminals. They have pure hearts, only to carry out the duties of the Above. So be careful," said Megawati.
The daughter of the Indonesian proclamator, Soekarno, also stated that by learning from nature and caring for nature, PDIP cadres will definitely be loved by the people. Because, it means that you will do something useful for the community.
For Megawati, rather than just making money for herself in politics, it is better to do something by planting plants in the neighborhood. "If it's just looking for money, it could end up going the wrong way. I myself feel sad if any of our members are corrupted. Why don't we think it's better if we plant trees? The ones on the road. Cheap, no need to buy, people just take it and look after it. "said Megawati.
