REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) is now having official account of Twitter under the name @SBYudhoyono. State Palace recently also made a Twitter account named @istanarakyat.

SBY plans to launch the account Saturday night in Cipanas Presidential Palace. "He plans to launch the account here in Cipanas Palace. He will also tweet his first message," Presidential Spokesman, Julian Aldrin Pasha, said on Saturday, mentioning that the launching was very important, emphasizing that it was SBY's official account.

Presidential Staff on Politics, Daniel Sparringa, earlier said that SBY would make Twitter as a part of his life. "This has always been his wish for at least two years," he said.

The biography of the account says that @SBYudhoyono is the official account of President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono. It says that it is managed by Presidential Staff. "Tweet from SBY will be marked by *SBY*," the account says.
