REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) receives the visit of Liberian President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf in State Palace, Jakarta, on Monday. They discussed on several matters, such as investment and capacity building.
Presidential Staff on International Relations, Teuku Faizasyah, said the meeting focused on some agreements, including SBY's visit to Monrovia, Liberia, last January. Both countries agreed to boost cooperation on trade, investment and capacity building.
Both leaders are also scheduled to perceive the signing of memorandum of understanding (MoU) on trade promotion and industrial capacity building.
"The improvement of interaction between Indonesia and African countries is a strategic step to capitalize the historical approach between Indonesia and Africa," he said.
After the meeting, President Sirleaf and SBY will fly to Bali to attend High Level Panel on Post- 2015 Development Agenda.
