REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – Prior to his office term that ends in 2013, the Head of Contitutional Court Mahfud MD, has not considered his next step in political career. He never clearly admits or refutes the speculation that says he would run for the presidential elections in 2014.

"Politic is unexpected. I prefer to teach and I am still a professor," Mahfud MD said on Wednesday. 

Mahfud explained that he would focus teaching in his alma mater Universitas Islam Yogyakarta, UGM, UNDIP, UNS, Unilam, and Untan. Currently, he only teaches in those universities every weekend. But starting from April, he would lecture from Monday to Friday. At the age of 55 years, he still has 15 years to teach before his retirement due.
